Fine line tattoos can age beautifully when the design, size and application technique are suited to the skin and placement.Over time, tattoo ink naturally settles and can spread slightly beneath the skin. Because fine line tattoos often contain delicate details and very small spaces, an experienced fine line artist needs to allow enough room between lines so the design remains clear as it ages.Needle depth is also important. If the ink is placed too shallow, parts of the tattoo may fade or drop out during healing. If it is placed too deep, the ink can spread beneath the skin and cause a blowout.Size also matters.
